imago...

We have been working towards incorporating our youth in the weekend experience about once every 8 weeks or so. It is always a tremendous event.

“Imago” has an incredible ministry, which includes their own monthly worship services, out reach neighborhood groups and they have almost two entire worship bands.

So today was one of our Sundays when the youth lead worship.

Worship Set 1
We Three Kings
Blessed be Your Name

Worship Set 2
Fire
Here I am to Worship

Creative Element:
Dramatization to:

Worship Set 3

Angels We Have Heard on High

This is part of the Sunday Set List at Fred McKinnon's blog. Always fresh, always interesting. Check it out.

I've seen a few lists with Here I Am to Worship. Did I miss the memo?

Great list!

Have you ever considered utilizing your older youth on a more consistent basis?

Just curious.

The Reason is an awesome song, and I can't help but think about my Savior when I hear it, even though it's not a "Christian" song.

@Russ-I wasn't even thinking. I should mention that the reason this was the first Sunday our worship leader was off; was for an entirely different reason.
Our previous (paid) worship leader had to step down from ministry in June (at that point we had three people who were able to lead worship). And our third person who was able to lead, was going through a very nasty child custody battle out of state.
Mel (our current worship leader) has been training up new people to lead worship and finally this Sunday had someone to the point where they were comfortable in actually leading.
It has been a long, tough and painful process over the last 6 months. Yet, we have been so blessed.

I personally would love to see our youth utilized more often. But the reality is the junior high/ high school ministry is exploding in it's own right. They have their own worship experience that they produce themselves as an extension of their neighborhood outreach ministries.
This year they have developed their own creative team meetings, drama team meetings and band practices. It is amazing what God is doing.

What is even cooler; our elementary children ministries, has just created their own drama ministry. They have just produced their first two dramatic pieces for their age groups.

As I mentioned; it has been a tough year, but ultimately an extremely exciting year.
We are so very blessed.
